Topic : Understanding the Principles and Philosophy of Clear Aligners
Abstract :
Since the introduction of the Tooth Positioner by TP Orthodontics in 1944, several removable
appliances synonymous to clear aligners have been employed for mild to moderate orthodontic
tooth movements. Clear aligner therapy has been a part of orthodontic practice for decades, where its popularity has heightened upon the introduction of Invisalign appliances (Align Technology) in 1998.
The objective of the presentation is to understand the principles and philosophies behind the use of clear aligner appliances. Selection of cases for treatment will be highlighted and so with actual clinical cases will be presented.
