Dr. Muhammad Syafiq Alauddin is a prosthodontist, graduated from University Malaya on 2011 and University of Sheffield / Royal College Surgeons of Edinburgh on 2017. He is a keen advocate in minimally invasive restorative dentistry and modern practice of implantology. He is a member of Malaysian Association of Prosthodontics (MAP) and currently a full time USIM clinical lecturer. He regularly published scientific articles and lectures to professional audience(dentists) throughout Malaysia.

Topic : The role of Concentrated Growth Factor (CGF) in contemporary implant therapy & practice.

Abstract :

Currently, the incorporation of biological agents derived from autologous human blood with specific manufactured centrifugation machine are widely been use due to relatively almost non existent biological risk, easy manufacturing and application with relatively good cost effectiveness. This lecture explores on surgical additive biological agents particularly autologous platelet concentrate (APC) in specific to Concentrated Growth Factor (CGF), the contemporary application and clinical evidence with comparison to other current biological agents. APC with the example of CGF contemporarily showed potential benefit and provide a more sensible option to be utilised in implant therapy and treatment.
