Topic : Digital Prosthodontics: Where We Stand Now?
Abstract :
Fabrication of dental prosthesis utilising computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) methods have attracted a lot of attention. In an advanced setting, a fully digitised workplace has been done with excellent final outcome. However, the question remains, realistically where do we stand now in digital dentistry? The lecture will navigate our experience in the clinical procedures that have been practised in our clinical setting during these early stages of incorporating digital dentistry. The initial challenges faced by our teams when we first dip our toes into digital dentistry in fixed and removable prosthodontics. The presentation will cover a hybrid of both world, conventional and digital dentistry in hopes it will direct us to a place where the possibilities are endless.
