Speaker Profile
Dr. Ang Yee, graduated from MAHSA University, was awarded Gold Chancellor Medallist and later, the Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery by the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh, UK. She then pursued her postgraduate studies at the National University of Malaysia, UKM. Besides, she won several awards in various student competitions and is an organising committee member in multiple local and international conferences. She is actively involved in clinical teaching and currently, a restorative specialist and senior lecturer in her alma mater. Dr. Ang Yee also published numerous papers on teeth restorability, and full mouth rehabilitation, and is the key opinion leader for Rhein 83. She is also the director of Meta Dent Academy, a private academy catering to organising courses and workshops for students and general practitioners.

Topic : Is The Tooth Restorable? Steps to Decision Making
Abstract :
As dental practitioners, we face this challenge daily. Is the tooth restorable or should I advise for extraction? How do I tell the patient that the restoration may not last? In this lecture, Dr. Ang Yee will discuss the parameters used to evaluate the restorability of a tooth via real-life cases and explain the steps that can help dental practitioners to make better decisions. She will also elaborate on the factors to consider when restoring endodontically treated tooth that may require multidisciplinary treatment modalities.
