Abstract

In this presentation, we aim to explore orthodontic treatment methods tailored to different stages of life: childhood, adolescence, adulthood, and the elderly. In childhood, early interventions aim to address dental and skeletal issues, promoting optimal growth. During adolescence, the focus is on aligning teeth and jaws, seeking both aesthetic improvements and functional enhancements.

Adult orthodontics encompasses various options, including treatments involving surgical correction, to address both cosmetic considerations and functional improvements. For the elderly, specialised orthodontic care is necessary, considering age-related changes such as tooth wear and bone density loss. Through this lecture, we seek to emphasis the importance of orthodontic treatment at various life stages, aiming to explore specific treatments that ensure optimal oral health and comprehensive well-being from childhood to old age.
