Lecture Lecture 8 : Inspired by Nature, Perfected by Science: Modern Adhesive Strategies for Functional and Aesthetic Biomimetic Restorations.
Date & Time Lecture 8 : 29 April 2026, 10:50 am – 11:40 am
Abstract

The advancement in restorative materials and adhesive systems have fundamentally transformed the way clinicians rehabilitate posterior teeth. The traditional philosophy of full-coverage crowns is being replaced by a more conservative approach that focuses on preserving healthy tooth structure and restoring natural biomechanics through partial adhesive restorations such as inlays, onlays etc. This paradigm shift reflects the principles of biomimetic dentistry—prioritizing treatments that respect the biological, structural, and functional integrity of the tooth.

This lecture will demonstrate how modern adhesive strategies and high-performance materials allow clinicians to deliver restorations that behave like natural teeth, offering superior longevity, fracture resistance, and aesthetic integration. Through clinical evidence, case examples, and simplified protocols, participants will learn how to evaluate case indications, select suitable restorative materials, and execute predictable bonding procedures. Attendees will leave with a clear understanding of how to incorporate minimally invasive, adhesive-based treatment options into daily practice to achieve durable and aesthetic outcomes while maximizing tooth preservation.
